About Us

At Belmont Homestay, we offer a unique and enriching English language immersion experience for students from Europe and China. With over 23 years of experience as a teacher of French, German, and English for Speakers of Other Languages, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability.

I am joined by Eléna, my daughter, who has recently completed her language degree with an additional TESL qualification at Hallam University, Sheffield, and gained valuable experience as a language assistant in the South of France. Together, we provide high-quality, personalised lessons tailored to each student’s level, encouraging them to step beyond their comfort zone and develop practical fluency.

Students spend their mornings in focused English lessons (2.5 hours), followed by engaging cultural and sporting activities in the afternoons. Our programmes include visits to some of England’s most iconic destinations, such as Windsor Castle, Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds, Oxford, Bath, Harry Potter and a full-day trip to London.

  Evenings are spent with our family, enjoying freshly prepared meals, playing board games, and other activities, giving students the chance to practise their English naturally in a warm, welcoming home environment. Having previously run homestay programmes with glowing feedback and repeat visits from students and their siblings, we are proud to now offer this experience on a larger scale.
